The first step in working with your organization is to capture current ‘snapshot’ of your team member’s leadership skills. Specific assessment tools have been carefully tested and selected for the various levels.
We use a range of assessments. The foundation of our team assessment starts with the Vibrancy assessment to help you identify your current state and identify areas for improvement as well as strengths to leverage.
In some cases we also use the same tools for team development as we use for individual development so you are getting additional value for your investment in assessment when you use them for both applications. These assessments will be used as the basis for your tailored team effectiveness coaching and workshops.
Harmonic Vibrancy Assessment. Vibrancy’s founder, Jim Ritchie-Dunham, PhD., president of the Institute for Strategic Clarity, a trustee of THORLO, and an adjunct faculty member at the EGADE Business School and at Harvard named the emerging science of abundance-based agreements Ecosynomics, Based on over 20 years of his research, experience and insights working with groups of all makeup and at all levels of vibrancy, he has created a framework rooted in economics and the sciences of human agreements, but with an initial assumption of abundance, not scarcity, and a wider view of the human being. He found that groups that start with this fundamentally different assumption, not only work at greater levels of effectiveness, efficiency and innovation, but love what they do as well! In 2011, based on his observations he created a survey to test these ideas. The survey has been by taken by groups all around the world with the results supporting Jim’s underlying theories. This assessment correlates highly with organizational success. We are certified to use this assessment and have found it to be one of the most effective tools available for our work. For Personality Character or type assessment we’ve found the Enneagram to be most effective for our purposes. For team development, the Enneagram assessment is used to profile the individual team members and create a composite score. Individual team members understand how they fit within the team and also what role they play with regard to team and project success. This can be very valuable for individual development as well as team alignment.
For Developmental Level we use the SCTi-MAP. This tool is currently the most rigorously validated, reliable and advanced assessment tool to assess adult leadership developmental. The MAP results are consolidated to reflect the team developmental level and recommendations about team development may be provided. These will connect with team effectiveness as well as culture.
For Leadership Behavioral Competencies we use The Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) is a true breakthrough among 360 degree profiles. It is the first to connect a well researched battery of competencies with the deep motivations and underlying habits of thought. It reveals the relationship between patterns of action and the internal assumptions that drive behavior. When TLCP is administered to an intact team, we create a team profile that allows individuals to better understand his or her strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the team. This can be helpful in team alignment and individual development.
