Chad
Stewart
Background
Chad is the Founder and a Principal of Interkannections and the Co-Director
of Integral Japan. He has been working since 1992 in the areas of Global
Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Sustainability and Talent
Management as a coach, consultant, facilitator, project manager and trainer
for companies, governments and NPOs. He has also worked with the United Nations
Centre for Regional Development and helped establish an environmental committee
for Mie Prefecture, Japan.
Projects and Results include:
- Bottom Line Productivity Improvement: Worked with a management
team to completely remove a planned overseas cost center and redesign
the existing organization around customer satisfaction resulting in a
cost savings of millions of euros and profitability increases in the
hundreds of millions of yen
- M&A Integration: Supported a three-party
international merger resulting in a reported dramatic increase in “buy-in,” communication,
collaboration, performance improvement and stress reduction
- Value Chain Integration: Supported a top leadership team in
clarifying its current value chain, determining future nodes of engagement,
creating a stakeholder management strategy, and installing an ongoing
planning process to implement expansion in target nodes of engagement
- Vision, Mission & Strategy Clarification & Implementation:
Guided the leadership team through a process of vision, mission & strategy
clarification and linked the results to clear projects and role & responsibility
that allowed the organization to dramatically outperform prior revenue
generation
- Organizational Culture Transformation: Guiding
the transformation of an R&D culture in a major automotive manufacturer from an “I” center
to a “T” center resulting in significant product improvement,
cost advantages, leadership and decision-making enhancement and global
coordination ability
- Systems & Processes Redesign: Worked
with an internal team to map the organization’s existing systems & processes, clarify
effective and ineffective ones in the context of the organization’s
current value chain, and redesign the overall system resulting in increased
ease of use, improved client satisfaction, and some time savings
- Leadership Pipeline Development: Installed
a leadership pipeline in an acquired firm with “no leadership” resulting
in pipeline members matching or exceeding the leadership standards
of the owner company within three years
- Leadership University Creation and Installation:
Created and installed a “leadership university” (complete
with internal trainers system) in a organization that allowed it to
develop leaders who are producing results equal to its global partner
organization
- Ongoing Training & Development: Created
customized Training-Of-Trainer programs for R&D leaders to develop their colleagues and subordinates
from “experts” to managers and project managers
- Organization Design: Designed a local multicultural organization
for a foreign entity with the result that it went on to outperform most
of its sister organizations in Asia, Europe and North America

Personal Development
Chad’s second vocation is spending time with his wife, daughter,
son, and ferret. He practices a personal ITP that incorporates Taoist
energy work, witness meditation, reading, transformational imagery,
Hatha Yoga, weight-training, running, and Brazilian Jujitsu.
